Does WordPress have a future!

Is it professional to use wordpress?

As a WordPress web designer of three years, I often get asked if WordPress really is the best platform to build your website.

There are so many ads for Wix, Squarespace and other similar CMS, I can see why you might feel overwhelemed with options

By the way, if you’re new around here – I’m Margaux  founder of Mweb-Designs I’m a WordPress web designer and developer (yes I can do both design and code)  and I help online business entrepreneurs to free up some time by building stunning website that will give their business the credibility and visibility it deserves! And by letting that same website do some of the heavy lifting in the sales department.

WordPress has long been a trusted ally for web designers worldwide. As we look ahead, it’s clear that WordPress is set to continue its journey as a cornerstone in the world of web design. With its user-friendly interface and ever-expanding capabilities, it’s exciting to explore how this platform will shape the websites of tomorrow. In this article, we’ll delve into the promising future of WordPress and its role in shaping the web design landscape.

Surprisingly, I’ve met clients doubting the professionalism of WordPress. I do think it is one of the most professional CMS out there. Its flexibility and versatility allows it to accommodate any kind of business

Crunching the Numbers:

Let’s dive into some staggering statistics that underscore WordPress’s dominion: (“Ultimate List of WordPress Stats and Market Share for 2023”)

It’s a user-friendly software tool that helps you create, manage, and update website content without needing advanced technical skills. It simplifies the process of publishing text, images, and other media on your website
  • WordPress grew 26.6% in the last decade.

The benefits of using WordPress

The Power of Open Source Freedom:

WordPress’s open-source code offers the freedom to use it without cost and the autonomy of self-hosting, ensuring you maintain full control of your website and avoid intrusive third-party ads.

For those of you unfamiliar with web developer jargon, open source refers to software or technology that is freely available for anyone to use, modify, and distribute. It encourages collaboration, where people from around the world can contribute to improving and enhancing the software, making it accessible and adaptable for a wide range of purposes.

Security, Reliability, and Peace of Mind:

A secure website is essential in today’s digital age as it protects sensitive user information, enhances user trust, and safeguards against cyber threats. Beyond GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) compliance, secure websites demonstrate a commitment to data protection, which can attract and retain users. Additionally, they help prevent costly data breaches and reputation damage.

WordPress’s reputation for robust security features and reliability is a testament to its professional calibre. It even simplifies the often daunting task of managing updates of wordpress themes, and plugins so that website owners can ensure their business website remains not only secure but also up-to-date with the latest features and improvements, ultimately delivering a better user experience to their visitors. WordPress made all of this process user friendly !

Design Unleashed:

WordPress unleashes a world of design possibilities, empowering freelance web designers like myself to craft websites that allow your business to stand out in a sea of templates, lending an unmistakably professional touch to our creations.

Limitless Potential with WordPress Plugins:

There are over 58,000 unique plugins for WordPress (“Ultimate List of WordPress Stats and Market Share for 2023”), that is a big stash of plugins at our fingertips, WordPress becomes a playground for creativity, whether you’re creating an e-commerce powerhouse, a members-only haven, or delving into the art of email marketing.

SEO-Friendly by Design:

While SEO mastery may not be an overnight feat. WordPress allows you to easily structure a website for SEO optimization! I wouldn’t say that it makes SEO easy but there are some WordPress plugins like RankMath and Yoast SEO especially designed for WordPress which allow easier SEO management!

Scale Your Dreams, Not Just Your Business:

Most enticingly, WordPress seamlessly scales with your dreams.

Start with a modest landing page and watch your digital empire flourish without missing a beat.

Because the website builder has pretty much unlimited creative and functional potential as it’s open source, it can scale with you and is something you can seamlessly grow into.

This is something that other CMSs such as Squarespace and Wix struggle with. Anything that you can conceive in your mind is pretty much achievable with a WordPress website.

Whereas, other CMSs seem to have a ceiling of sorts and limitations that become frustrating or require coding to overcome once you outgrow them.

Yes, building a WordPress website can be a steep learning curve, but it’s definitely going to support you more in the long term if you learn it now and grow with it

WordPress isn’t merely surviving; it’s thriving, evolving, and captivating the hearts of freelance web designers like myself

Its versatility, security, and scalability, make it the undisputed champion of web design and development. WordPress will always find a solution to accommodate your next business venture!
